The American Citizen Services (ACS) office at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal provides a wide range of services to Americans in Montreal and to Canadians who have dealings with U.S. Government institutions. These services include assistance to Americans in emergency situations; passport renewals and issuances; registration of children born abroad to U.S. citizen parent(s); notary services; voting assistance; Selective Service registrations; and applications for U.S. Social Security numbers (SSNs) or taxpayer identification numbers (TINs). In addition, we can provide general information on absentee voting and U.S. federal income tax.
