2014-2015 FULBRITH PROGRAMS for University Study and Research in the United States

 

The U.S. Embassy in Bamako is currently seeking to recruit qualified Malian applicants to pursue graduate studies or conduct research and professional development programs in the United States. For this recruitment cycle, the Embassy can only accept applications for programs of study related to democracy, good governance, or empowering civic participation; peace and conflict resolution, countering violent extremism, or anti-terrorism; or life-saving health, food security or humanitarian aid.
  
2014-15 Fulbright Junior Staff Development Program: This program funds two years of higher level education in the United States, leading to a Master’s or PHD degree.  The JSD candidates should have at least the equivalent of four years of university study or the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree and must have an English proficiency with a TOEFL score of 550 and above.  For preliminary application purposes, candidates may submit ALIGU scores in lieu of TOEFL.* Candidates will also be required to attain required scores on the GRE or GMAT. 2014-15 Fulbright Francophone/Lusophone Junior Staff Development Program:  This program funds two years of higher level education in the United States, leading to a Master’s degree.  It differs from the FJSD program (described above) in that it requires a TOEFL score of 480-540 and includes an intensive English Language training prior to the academic program.  For preliminary application purposes, candidates may submit ALIGU scores in lieu of TOEFL.* Upon completion of the English Language training program, the candidates will then sit for the GRE  in the United States and must attain required scores. 2014-15 The Fulbright African Senior Research Program: This program funds university professors, who hold a PHD or a Doctorate, to carry out research or participate in a professional development program in an academic institution in the United States. The length of the program is between 4 and 9 months. This program requires an English proficiency of 550.  For preliminary application purposes, candidates may submit ALIGU scores in lieu of TOEFL.* Senior African Research Application

* The ALIGU is administered by Cours des Langues in Quinzambougou (2021 7422).  The TOEFL is administered at Cours des Langues and at CEFLA/IHEM in Hamdallaye ACI 2000 (20 29 6727).
