CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR U.S. VISAS

The U.S. Embassy in Nicosia has launched a customer service center for the public – online at www.USVisa-info.com – for travelers applying at the Embassy for visas for tourism, business, study, work, and other short-term travel in the United States.

Customers can get information about non-immigrant visas, schedule interview appointments at the Embassy in Nicosia, and arrange for the delivery of passports and visas either online at www.USVisa-info.com or on the telephone at +357 22 232 082.  The site is available 24 hours a day, or telephone assistance from 0700h until 2100, Monday through Friday.  The online and telephone centers will provide information in English, Greek and Turkish.

Once customers register for an online account, they can pay their application fees by credit card or cash, and schedule appointments for an interview at the Embassy.  Applicants who receive visas can pick them up at Aramex courier centers in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca or Paphos.

This service at the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia is part of the U.S. government's global program to support visa processing and to facilitate travel to the United States.

USEFUL TIPS:

  • Do not make any final travel arrangements before you have obtained a visa.
  • To expedite getting through security at the Embassy, no electronics are allowed (cell phones, cameras, laptops).  Any other items you bring will be thoroughly searched and will delay your arrival into the Embassy.
  • Applicants are expected to make every effort to upload a photo for the Form DS-160 that meets the designated requirements.  However, if the photo upload is not accepted as suitable by the DS-160 system, applicants must continue without a photo.  Whether a photo is successfully uploaded or not, applicants are requested to bring a photo, meeting the photo requirements to the interview.
  • Photograph for the visa must be taken within the last six months. NO photoshopped or retouched photos will be accepted.

WHO CAN USE THE VISA WAIVER PROGRAM

  • Some travelers, including British citizens, who are citizens of countries which participate in the Visa Waiver Program, may enter the United States without a visa for periods of less than 90 days for business or tourism. Visitors who wish to use the Visa Waiver Program must have machine-readable passports and register on-line in the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Click here for more information.
