Special Notice - Limited consular services provided at U.S. Embassy Juba

 The United States Embassy in Juba offers a limited set of American citizen services at this time. The embassy can assist American citizens in cases of life or death emergencies. To report a lost or stolen passport, obtain an emergency passport, report a death abroad, obtain a notarial service, or purchase extra visa pages in your passport, please email ACSJuba@state.gov or call the Consular Section at +211 (0)912 105 188 to schedule an appointment. Please direct all inquires for other American Citizen services to the U.S. Embassies in Khartoum or Nairobi.

Visas

The U.S. Embassy offers visa services only for members of the South Sudanese government travelling to the United States on official business.  Other South Sudanese applicants and nationals of other countries should apply at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi or elsewhere.


Emergencies

U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance may call the U.S. Embassy in Juba during business hours at +211 (0)912 105 188 or email ACSJuba@state.gov.

In the event of a life or death emergency involving a U.S. citizen after business hours or on holidays, please contact the embassy duty officer at +211-912-15-3939 (Zain) or +256-477-459-820 (GEMTEL).

To Register with the Embassy

U.S. citizens living or traveling in South Sudan should register their presence in South Sudan through the Department of State's on-line travel registration website. Registration helps the embassy contact you in an emergency and you will be included on the embassy's warden email list.
