Flight Photos For 1942
The War Department established the Army Air Forces Classification Center as a named activity and redesignated the Air Corps Replacement Training Center (Air Crew) as the Army Air Forces Pre-Flight School (Pilot). These changes reflected a decision to separate cadets classified for pilot training from those tagged for navigator and bombardier school at Ellington Field, near Houston, Texas.
