Protecting Seniors

It's no secret that to cut spending, we must find ways to reduce the costs of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid – the primary drivers of our national debt. However, I believe that we must do so in a way that keeps our promises to America's seniors, retirees, and those nearing retirement age. That is not a point for debate. I support only those policies that maintain current benefit structures for seniors and retirees, who have paid into the system for years and are now receiving the benefits. However, in order to save these popular programs for our children and grandchildren, we must reform them for future beneficiaries.
