    • I would also like to bring up a fact that our new smoke free law is against our constitutional rights as written for North Dakota. All individuals are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty; acquiring, possessing and protecting property and reputation; pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness; and to keep and bear arms for the defense of their person, family, property, and the state, and for lawful hunting, recreational, and other lawful purposes, which shall not be infringed. Do something about this so business owners have the freedom to decide so that they can enjoy life and pursue happiness.

Scared to talk about gun control or just afraid to directly answer the question?? At least Heitkamp made a point, not that it can be believed but she at least made a point. Quit the wishy-washy crap, you're from ND not Chicago.

  4. Throughout its 376 year history, the National Guard has been 'always ready, always there’ to defend and protect our interests at home and abroad. In North Dakota, we are especially grateful to the North Dakota National Guard members, both past and present, who have given their lives defending our nation. We thank all of our Guard members who tirelessly serve our state and nation and skillfully and selflessly complete whatever mission they are assigned. We truly appreciate their selfless and tireless service, and pay tribute to our National Guard on its 376th birthday.
