Delivering Effective Presentations

Description
In this workshop, you learn how to create and deliver engaging presentations by starting at the end. What do you want your audience to know or do differently as a result of experiencing your presentation? Guidance and feedback are provided throughout the class to boost confidence and competence. Emphasis is placed on preparation and practice to enhance success. Tips are provided on how to organize presentations, how best to prepare and practice, techniques for reducing anxiety, how to handle audience questions, and how to deal with hostile or distracting audience members. Each participant will be videotaped delivering a brief presentation and will receive a copy of the video after the workshop.
Audience: Executives, managers, and non-managers interested in making presentations and improving oral communication skills. Maximum of twelve participants per session.
This is a highly experiential course. Participants place new skills into immediate practice.
