Testimony of Sandra Wortham

[WASHINGTON, DC] - Sandra Wortham, sister of slain Chicago Police Officer Thomas Wortham IV, testified at a hearing today of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights that examined how proposals being considered in the Senate to reduce gun violence are both constitutional and common sense. Officer Wortham served in the National Guard, and had recently returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq when he was shot and killed outside of his family's home in Chicago by gang members using a straw purchased gun.
