U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, visited Des Moines Public downtown school Central Campus at their new home. Senator Harkin visited classrooms, and then spoke about legislation recently approved by his committee to make significant changes and improvements to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
