Nonimmigrant Visas

Effective April 13, 2012: The fee for all visas that are non-petition based is $160 USD, the fee for petition based visas is $190 USD, the fee for 'K' visas for fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens is $240 USD and the fee for 'E' visas for treaty-traders/treaty-investors is $270.

All nonimmigrant visa applicants, regardless of visa type, must pay the $160 USD non-refundable nonimmigrant visa application fee. The fee can be paid at most branches of TT Post (See list of branches) in Trinidad and Tobago.  Applicants subject to the higher tiered fees, such as petition based applicants, will be required to pay the difference between the new $160 USD fee paid at TT Post and the new tiered fee at the Embassy cashier on the day of their nonimmigrant visa appointment. We would like to warn applicants against paying money to anyone who claims to work for the U.S. Embassy or any “Visa Consultant” who promises to get you either a green card or a U.S. Visa.  There have been reports of persons paying money to individuals who promised them a visa, saying they represented or worked at the U.S. Embassy, or could obtain a visa. These individuals are criminals, and this is a scam.
