American Centers in Azerbaijan

American Centers are partnerships between the U.S. Embassy and host institutions. They provide access to current and reliable information about the U.S. via book collections, the Internet, and through local programming to the general public.  At present, there are six American Centers in Azerbaijan.

The American Center in the capital Baku is the main destination for Azerbaijanis who want to learn about America. The Center  has an American Library, with resources about study opportunities in the United States and rich collections of books and periodicals about U.S. society and culture. 

Additionally, the Center has a free Internet access offering subscriptions to such scholarly databases, as EBSCO, J-Stor, etc. It also hosts free weekly  American studies classes, conversation clubs, movie nights and much, much more. It is housed on the 1st floor of the Azerbaijan University of Languages at 60, Rashid Behbudov Street.
