Passports
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Baku accepts applications for new, renewal and replacement passports, and can add additional passport pages. Please make an appointment online by choosing the appropriate link from the ACS calendar located at the top right side of this page.

Proof of Identity and Citizenship
To issue an American passport, we must have proof of identity and citizenship. If you are renewing a valid or recently expired passport, your passport will serve as proof of both identity and citizenship. Otherwise, to prove citizenship, you need to provide a certified copy of your birth certificate, certificate of naturalization, or other similar documents.
Special Requirements for Minors Under Age 16
To enhance the accurate identification of passport applicants and aid in the prevention of international child abduction and trafficking, the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs now requires the personal appearance of all minors applying for U.S. passports. This applies to all tourist/business, official and diplomatic passports for children under the age of 16, even if the child has previously been issued a passport. Now, when applying for a passport for a minor under the age of 16, the child must be present and the parents are required to submit documentation of parental relationship and consent, as well as comply with all other documentation requirements for the issuance of a passport. Plan Ahead!
All passports are issued in the United States and sent to Embassies. This process takes about two weeks from the day of application, so please plan accordingly.
