The U.S. Mission To Uruguay

The U.S. Mission to Uruguay has two main objectives:

• Pursue Mutual Interests
  Our mutual interests with Uruguay include the spread of democratic values and respect for human rights; security and prosperity; scientific and technological advancement; environmental and health improvements; anti-narcotics cooperation; and trade and investment issues.
• Provide Essential Services
  We provide information, analysis and recommendations for U.S. policy makers and explain U.S. policy positions on a range of issues. We support U.S. businesses, provide consular assistance to U.S. citizens, facilitate scientific and academic exchanges and maintain regular contact with Uruguayan leaders.
