GPM Anime Competition
Anime is a Japanese style of animation popular around the world. As it has traveled, anime characters have filled television shows and comics, and inspired costumes and educational activities.
GPM and our partners at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will hold a design competition for students around the world to develop a GPM Anime character. Students will need to incorporate several aspects of the GPM mission, focusing on science and engineering questions. Teachers will have access to ready-made teaching materials to accompany this activity. The winning character will star in a comic series focusing on the water cycle, weather and climate, natural hazards, water availability, and measuring precipitation from space.
