Selected Content

Behavioral indicators include the consumption of recommended servings of F&V. Policy and environmental indicators include indicators of the availability of healthier food in retail markets, schools, and food support systems.

Methodology

The behavioral indicators presented in this report are derived from objectives for F&V consumption outlined in Healthy People 2010; data is from CDC's health surveillance systems. The policy and environmental indicators are from multiple data sources and measure several aspects of a state's ability to support F&V consumption. Each indicator can be measured in most states.
