Fermilab's Diversity Council fosters organizational equity through programs carefully designed to increase the diversity of the Laboratory and to increase the participation of employees. The Council develops, implements, and maintains strategic programs with established goals for the Laboratory.

Committee for Hiring and Retaining Scientific Staff: This committee has as its first assignment to implement the action plans for increasing diversity among the scientists that the ad- hoc CHRSS and the Directorate will agree upon.

University Liaison Committee: This committee will work with URA Universities to address pipeline issues and the numbers of minorities they recruit.

FaST Teams Group: This committee will work to identify research opportunities throughout the Laboratory appropriate for faculty and their students who come from minority-serving institutions.

Committee for Educational Programs and Internships: This committee will be charged with developing a recruitment schedule for summer internships, cooperative education opportunities, and other college recruiting at institutions with strong diversity profiles. This group will also make recommendations for new college advertising media.

Team for Local and Community College Partnerships: This committee will investigate opportunities to partner with local schools, such as NIU, COD, CSU, UIC, etc. to develop a pool of college trained candidates who would enter our workforce as technicians and engineering technologists. The schools mentioned have strong diversity profiles.

FNAL Affinity Groups: These are centralized organizational -life platforms intended to promote diversity and foster a transparent culture of workplace inclusion. Membership is open to all members of the FNAL community who share common concerns.

Chinese Society
Mission: A network for fellow co-workers to exchange and share various information, and help each other with specific needs and concerns.

Drishti
The Indian Association of Fermilab.
Mission: A mailing list for people mainly from India and anyone else who is interested.

FNAL Employee Resource Groups: These groups will communicate with senior management, champion professional development, and serve as advocates for advancement.

Globe
Mission: To bring members and allies of the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender community at Fermilab together to share commonalities and resources, and create a channel to diffuse prejudices.

Unity Coat
Mission: "Unity Coat" unites all for one cause- the respect and inclusion of persons with Disabilities at Fermilab as one of its many vital and diverse cultures to celebrate our contributions to its scientific mission. We will educate, create a channel to diffuse stereotypes and prejudices, increase awareness, acceptance and recognition of individual diversity, and establish a centralized resource for all persons at Fermilab who share the concerns of persons with disabilities.
