Today sees the launch of Ensembl Plants – a freely available web resource for plant genomics research – by EMBL-EBI, in partnership with the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, USA. Scientists have shown that genetically manipulating a key
molecular pathway in mice can mimic the longevity effects of a calorie
restricted diet. The research, a collaborative effort that includes
