Welcome to America's Heroes at Work - a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) project that addresses the employment challenges of returning Service Members and Veterans living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Designed for employers and the workforce development system, this website is your link to information and tools to help returning Service Members and Veterans living with TBI and/or PTSD succeed in the workplace - particularly Service Members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
VA's National Center for PTSD and AH@W want your help during PTSD Awareness Month. In 2010 and 2011 Congress named June 27 PTSD Awareness Day and last year, many joined our cause. AH@W is working together with VA's National Center for PTSD to raise PTSD awareness in June 2012.
The VA's National Center for PTSD is the center of excellence for research and education on the prevention, understanding, and treatment of PTSD. Our mission is to advance the science and promote understanding of traumatic stress. We do this through research, education, and outreach.
