tabAbout Us
The mission of the 440th Communications Flight is to support the deployment of the 82nd Airborne Division in a wartime contingency, and to deploy in support of world-wide Air Force Reserve Command communications tasking requirements. These requirements include deploying trained personnel and serviceable equipment to provide communications support of air-landed operations in high threat areas, operate sea-air interface bases. The 440th Communications Flight must be able to deploy as a self-contained unit with its own communications and self defense capabilities.
