The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency under the Department of Homeland Security overseas lawful immigration to the United States.  The USCIS website contains helpful information on immigration laws, procedures, applications and processing times.

If you have the receipt number for your petition you may check the status of your application online at the USCIS website.

E-mail is the NVC’s preferred method of communication.

Note: Use your personal e-mail account to contact the NVC and follow the instructions below:

  • Enter your NVC Case Number in the subject line of the e-mail.
  • Provide both the applicant and the petitioner’s names and dates of birth.
  • If you are an attorney, include the name of the law office requesting the information.
  • If the petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name.
  • Inquire about only one case per e-mail

Open a Case

If you are interacting with a federal agency and need assistance, my staff and I may be able to help you if you live in Indiana AND your problem is with a federal government agency.

If you would like my staff to look into a matter related to a federal agency, I will need your signed authorization to open a case and conduct an inquiry. This form is required because federal agencies will not release information to my staff without your consent, in accordance with federal privacy laws.
