Updated Network Access Manual
Network Access to Titan (March 2011), which provides specific information on how to transfer files to and from Titan using FTP and on how to initiate interactive sessions through TN3270, has been updated to reflect changes in version 12.3 of WS_FTP Pro. This updated version of WS_FTP Pro, the file transfer software supported by CIT and available free of charge to customers, became production in March 2011 (see the Titan News article "New Release of WS_FTP Pro Available for Testing").
The new version of WS_FTP Pro (12.3) makes transferring files with the mainframe easier than ever. The March 2011 revision of Network Access to Titan provides updated WS_FTP Pro instructions and screen shots.
Remember, for interactive sessions, you must use a TN3270 full-screen communications software package with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption on the workstation. CIT provides QWS3270 Secure free of charge for this purpose.
How can I get the software?
To download WS_FTP Pro, or QWS3270 Secure, go to the http://titan.nih.gov website and:
These software packages are very straightforward to download and install—just follow the on-screen instructions. If you have a previous version already installed, your session settings will be retained when you install the new version.
