Upgrades for Shadow Direct and Shadow Direct ODBC Drivers
On the development server
Shadow Direct will be upgraded on the development server (SDBD) during the normal maintenance window on Sunday night, March 20, 2011. Customers should test their Shadow Direct applications on SDBD to ensure that their applications continue to function properly.
On the production servers
Shadow Direct will be upgraded on the production servers (SDBP and SDBW) during the normal maintenance window on Sunday night, April 3, 2011.
Upgraded Shadow Direct ODBC drivers available
An upgraded version of Shadow Direct ODBC drivers for Windows is now available. The Shadow Direct ODBC driver is software for connecting client workstations to DB2. Any ODBC-capable client software such as spreadsheets, decision support tools, and development tools can connect directly to DB2 via Shadow Direct.
Shadow Direct users need to upgrade their ODBC drivers (on the client side) to ensure compatibility with the latest release of Shadow Direct.
Where to get the drivers
The drivers can be downloaded from http://silk.nih.gov/dbtekpub/disphtm/db2home:
For drivers on the Macintosh or Unix platforms, please contact the DB2 Database Group at CITDB2DBA@mail.nih.gov.
