Ambassador Delivers Remarks at Opening Game of ASEAN Basketball League 2013 Season
U.S. Ambassador Scot Marciel attended the tip-off of the 2013 ASEAN Basketball league regular season, which saw a rematch between last year’s finalists the Indonesian Warriors and San Miguel Beermen, from the Philippines.  During his remarks, the Ambassador commented that basketball was very popular both in the United States and Indonesia and expressed his pleasure seeing several American players in the game, which San Miguel ended up winning 64-53.
