Important Notice for Diversity Visa (DV) 2012 Entrants: 

Successful entrants are encouraged to send in their required documents to the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) immediately, so that an interview appointment at the appropriate U.S. Embassy or consulate can be scheduled before the program ends.  In order for an appointment to be scheduled with either a U.S. Embassy or Consulate, entrants must first submit the Form DSP-122 and Form DS-230 to KCC.  Embassies and consulates only have a limited number of appointments each month, including September, for DV applicants, so it is vital that successful entrants mail these documents to KCC very soon. 

DV 2012 ends on September 30, 2012.  In addition, if all of the 50,000 DV visas have been issued before that date, the program will end.  U.S. Embassies and Consulates only have six months left to issue visas to eligible applicants in the DV 2012 program.  Successful entrants should act now.  DV-2012 visas cannot be issued after September 30, 2012.  Participants are reminded to check the status of their DV entry through Entrant Status Check www.dvlottery.state.gov, using the confirmation numbers they received when they initially submitted their applications.

اطلاعیه مهم برای متقاضیان روادید گونه گونی سال ۲۰۱۲: ما شرکت کنندگانی را که در قرعه کشی موفق شده اند به ارسال فوری مدارک مورد نیاز به مرکز کنسولی کنتاکی (KCC) تشویق می کنیم تا پیش از پایان برنامه امسال قرار مصاحبه ای در کنسولگری یا سفارتخانه مناسب برای آنها تعیین شود. متقاضیان برای تعیین قرار مصاحبه با سفارت یا کنسولگری آمریکا باید ابتدا فرم ۱۲۲DSP- و فرم ۲۳۰DS- را به مرکز کنتاکی ارسال کنند. سفارتخانه ها و کنسولگری های آمریکا هر ماه، از جمله در ماه سپتامبر، تعداد قرارهای مصاحبه محدودی برای متقاضیان روادید گونه گونی دارند، بنابر این ارسال هر چه سریعتر این مدارک برای متقاضیان بسیار حیاتی است.

برنامه روادید مهاجرتی سال ۲۰۱۲ در سی ام سپتامبر ۲۰۱۲ خاتمه می یابد.  اگر حداکثر تعداد ۰۰۰،۵۰ روادید گونه گونی پیش از این تاریخ (سی ام سپتامبر) صادر شوند، برنامه در همان زمان خاتمه خواهد یافت. سفارتخانه ها و کنسولگری های آمریکا تنها شش ماه فرصت دارند تا روادید متقاضیان ذی صلاح برنامه روادید گونه گونی سال ۲۰۱۲ را صادر کنند. متقاضیان موفق باید همینک اقدام کنند. روادید مهاجرتی سال ۲۰۱۲ پس از سی ام سپتامبر ۲۰۱۲ قابل صدور نیست. متقاضیان را تشویق می کنیم وضعیت پرونده خود را از طریق  www.dvlottery.state.gov و شماره تاییدی (confirmation number) که پس از ارسال اولیه درخواستشان دریافت کرده اند، تعقیب کنند.

Diversity Immigrant Visa Program

The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program issues up to 50,000 diversity visas (DV) annually, drawn from a random selection among all entries, to people who meet strict eligibility requirements from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.  For complete information on the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, please click here (PDF 175 KB).

Applicants may access the Electronic Diversity Visa entry form (E-DV) at http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ during the registration period.  Paper entries will not be accepted. Applicants are strongly encouraged not to wait until the last week of the registration period to enter.  Heavy demand may result in website delays.  Eligibility requirements are strict, and all information provided by applicants must be complete and accurate.

Diversity Visa Qualification Requirements

• To enter the DV-2012 program, you must be a native of one of the qualifying countries (PDF 250 KB).
• You must have either a high school education or its equivalent, defined as successful completion of a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education, OR have two years of qualifying work experience.  To see whether your occupation qualifies, click here.
• You must meet all immigrant visa eligibility requirements under U.S. law. 

If you do not meet these requirements, you should not submit an entry to the DV-2012 program.

Diversity Visa Program Requirements

• Entries can only be made during the registration period.
• All entries by an individual will be disqualified if more than one entry is received for that individual.
• Entries must be made online; paper entries will not be accepted.
• All information requested on the online entry form must be provided, and must be accurate.
• If you are married or have children at the time of your entry, you must list these individuals on your application. 
• All required photographs must be submitted for all applicants, and must conform to DV program specifications (PDF 298 KB).
• Photographs must be recent -- all applicants must be easily recognizable.  
• Photographs may not be digitally manipulated in any way. 
• For DV-2012, you must submit a valid e-mail address on your application form.

Diversity Visa Program Notification

A computer will randomly select individuals from among all qualified entries.  Starting May 1, 2011 DV-2012 applicants will be able to check the status of their application via the Entry Status Check online.  Selected program entrants will not be notified by e-mail or postal mail.  DV-2012 program entrants who are not selected for diversity visas will not be contacted.  Applicants may check the status of their entry online here.

Fraud Warning

There are fraudulent websites posing as official U.S. Government sites. Some companies posing as the U.S. Government have sought money in order to “complete” program entry forms. There is no charge to download and complete the Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form. The Department of State notifies successful Diversity Visa applicants by letter -- NOT by e-mail.
