U.S. DOT Small Business Day: MAPing Your Small Business Opportunities with DOT

Secretary Ray LaHood invites you to the U.S. DOT Small Business Day: MAPing Your Small Business Opportunities with DOT, hosted by the U.S. DOT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).

The event will highlight the recently approved, Moving Ahead for Progress (MAP-21) legislation, provide information on other DOT Small Business initiatives, and give event attendees the opportunity to network with prime contractors.

Secretary LaHood and key DOT leadership will discuss MAP-21 and the potential opportunities that it brings to the small business community. A representative from Clark Construction will share best practices and advice on doing business with prime contractors at the federal and state level.

There will also be an active Networking Session where attendees will have the chance to interact, increase their marketing efforts and learn about potential contracting opportunities from Small Business Specialists from each DOT Mode, OSDBU representatives from other federal agencies, state and local transportation representatives, and Prime Contractors.
