Ombudsman

Most major military treatment facilities and Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals have an ombudsman for patients, including STs. The local ombudsman is another resource for STs if questions or concerns arise that are not addressed by the WTB or WTU. The ombudsman helps STs connect with local agencies and community groups and assists with unresolved issues and policy updates. The ombudsman also provides Family advocacy and acts as a mediator, communicator, and facilitator for problem solving.
