Important Announcement

All non-emergency American Citizen Services (renewal of U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and Notarials) will be provided by appointment only. Links to the online appointment system will be provided under the appropriate service category on the left.

Telephone inquiries:
You can call our American Citizen Services Unit in the afternoon between 1:30 and 4:30, Monday through Friday. The morning hours are reserved for visitors with appointments and only emergency phone calls (see instructions below) can be answered.

Emergencies:
In case of an emergency, i.e. to call about the arrest, hospitalization or death of an American citizen, you can call the above number from 8:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. In case of such an emergency outside these business hours, i.e. evenings, weekends or holidays, please call the Duty Officer: Tel.: (+40 21) 200-3300 (After Hours Duty Officer)(No immigration, visa or ESTA information is available at this number).

For security reasons, the following may not be brought to the Consulate:
