Charles (Chuck) Bennett is a career member of the senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor. He has served in many countries in Asia including Vietnam, China, Thailand and the Philippines. He has also been posted to Taipei, Taiwan. Mr. Bennett has also served as a desk officer in the office of Western Hemisphere Affairs in the Department of State. During his 28 year career with the Department of State, Mr. Bennett has been awarded several Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards, and was the 2010 recipient of the Barbara Watson Award for Consular Excellence.
A native of Washington State, Consul General Bennett attended Western Washington University and the University of Washington. He is married to Della Knox-Bennett, and has a daughter who is a graduate student at Harvard University.
