It is my pleasure to introduce you to the
Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), the largest and most diverse biomedical research laboratory in the Department of Defense.
Our resources include a new facility in Silver Spring, Maryland that was dedicated in September 2001 to Senator
Daniel K. Inouye ,
and laboratory and clinical facilities in Asia ,
Africa ,
and Europe . Our greatest
resources are the dedicated scientists, technicians, and support personnel who make up the core of the WRAIR today.
