The NOAA Green Team was established in May 2007 by the NOAA ECS Committee to provide
guidance, tools, and direction for implementing innovative "greening" techniques within NOAA's facilities and operations. The main objectives
of the Green Team are:
1. Address Executive Order 13423, Energy Policy Act (EPAct) of 2005 & Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 mandated goals. Click here for a complete list of energy regulations.
2. Assist with the development of NOAA’s green/energy management plan;
3. Communicate greening/energy requirements and resources across NOAA's Line Offices;
4. Develop
an greening/energy implementation
action plan;
5. Coordinate
greening/energy audits;
7. Establish
NOAA-wide training requirements
