Supporting Afghanistan’s Peace Process

U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman and High Peace Council Chairman Salahuddin Rabbani met in Washington on November 28 to discuss efforts to advance an Afghan-led peace process.  Ambassador Grossman expressed his appreciation for Chairman Rabbani’s dedication to the goal of peace among Afghans, saying: “The United States continues to agree with Afghan leaders that a peace process is critical to our shared goal of a more stable and secure Afghanistan.”
