Pharmacy Benefits Management Services - Mentor Certification Program

VA Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians can be recognized for their commitment to mentoring. VHA has established two levels of certification for mentors, the Resident Level and Fellow Level. Satisfactory completion of the Fellow level may qualify the individual for a Special Advancement for Achievement if they agree to be placed on the Pharmacy Mentor Listing and actively participate in the program.

Resident: To be certified at this level, the candidate would require completion of approved Coach Mentor Training Session and documented 25 hours of mentoring/coaching experience.

Fellow: To be certified at this level, the candidate would require completion of Resident Level training and a total of 50 hours of mentoring/coaching experience.

More details regarding training requirements can be found at: http://vaww.succession.va.gov/Employee_Development/MC/default.aspx

To be considered for certification at each level, the candidate should:

  1. Document training completion: http://vhav16hpdm1/MentorCert.net/
  2. Document VHA mentor certification practical experience: http://vhav16hpdm1/MentorCert.net/
