Salem VA Medical Center

Volunteer or Give

Salem VAMC relies on the goodwill and support of our benefactors and volunteers who wish to give something back to America's heroes.

Volunteering

Volunteers play an important role at our Medical Center and help make our patients' stay more enjoyable. Volunteers can perform a number of services and their talents are closely matched with one of our many assignments.

To join our volunteer family and learn more about our volunteer opportunities, call or visit the Salem VAMC Voluntary Service Office. We will be happy to receive your application and discuss how you can help in our mission to provide comfort and care to America's veterans.

Giving

Monetary donations support specific programs provided for our Veteran patients.  Examples include:

  • refreshments/coffee supplies
  • recreational activities
  • local bus passes

Non-monetary contributions are used to make our patients' stay more enjoyable.  Accepted items include:

  • coffee
  • baseball/movie passes
  • art and craft supplies
  • postage stamps
