Overview ADAPT/myPRIME

ADAPT/myPRIME is an on-line prevention intervention traning tool that provides Soldiers with the ability to self-assess their own high risk behaviors and influence changes in attitude, belief, and behavior. This training is a conversion to virtual (online) delivery of the current ADAPT curriculum (PRIME For Life) which is a classroom based training taught by certified Prime For Life Instructors

ADAPT/myPRIME is intended for Soldiers who present issue with alcohol and/or drugs while deployed. The training is delivered via computer that a Soldier completes on an individual basis. Please see the ACSAP website (www.acsap.army.mil) for training appropriate at the squad to unit level.

If a Soldier completes myPRIME while deployed, upon redeployment to home station, the Commander must send the Soldier to the garrison ASAP office. Participation in the formal ASAP program ensures complete care for the Soldier and support for the Commander.

NOTE: If a Soldier's drug or alcohol problem presents a high risk of endandering self and others and jeopardizing the mission evcuate.

1. Commander directs the Soldier to complete ADAPT/myPRIME. If possible, an assessment by a behavioral health professional is preferred prior to completing ADAPT/myPRIME.

2. Soldier must access the ACSAP Webpage (www.acsap.army.mil) ;click on the myPRIME link and register for the training by completing a registration form located on the website.

3. The Soldier will recieve an email which includes a unique passcode and access to the ADAPT/ myPRIME web portal. The Commander will also recieve an email asking them to validate that the Soldier is to complete the training. ACSAP will enter the Soldier into the DAMIS system at the time.

4. If bandwidth is constrained in the operational area, the Soldier must request the offline version of the course when registering. A BACM manager will then alos recieve an email notifying them to send a DVD of the course to the Soldier. NOTE: The offline version will require Internet access to register for enrollment, initiate training and conclude training. Once initiated, a Soldier can progress through the course without access. The Soldier must then reconnect to the Internet when completed to recieve credit for training.

5. Upon reciept of the access code and/or DVD (offline version only), the Soldier must access the ADAPT/myPRIME web portal to initiate the training program. AFTER initiation online, the Soldier will progress through the training either online or with a DVD in offline mode. He/she will be given 30 days to complete the training (which is approximately 20 hours in length.) *NOTE: Access to a computer is incumbent upon the Commander due to unpredictable access across theater. The Soldier is required to use the same computer throughout the training if an offline version is selected.

6. At any time during the 30 days after initiating training, the Commander of a Soldier may request progress status from ACSAP. Email correspondence is available at preventbranch@us.army.mil. If the Soldier does NOT complete the training within the 30 days, the Commander will be notified by ACSAP via email.

7. Upon completion of the program, the Soldier must reconnect with the ADAPT/myPRIME portal to record progress data. The Soldier will then recieve a certificate acknowledging completion . The Commander will be notified via email that training was completed. ACSAP will record completion of training by the Soldier in DAMIS.

Note: The DVD for the ADAPT/myPRIME offline version is distributed by ACSAP (for geographically dispersed Soldiers) and BAC Managers (for deployed). The Soldier may retain the DVD after completing the program. The DVD is protected by copyright laws; reproduction is prohibited.
