The mission of Range Management Branch is to ensure the safe and efficient use of Quantico Ranges and Training Areas (RTA) in the Guadalcanal Training Complex. Coordinates and publishes all ground fire, aircraft, training unit, and approved civilian activity in the RTA; enforces pertinent Base regulations through RTA on-site inspections, vehicular patrols, and safety communications management; renders safe any explosive or improvised explosive devices found aboard MCB; initiates and coordinates periodic improvements and modernization of RTA facilities; develops, validates and certifies new RTA modifications per the pertinent Base regulation; assists in the enforcement of rescue operations for missing persons in RTA; coordinates Facilities/Logistics Services for regular corrective and preventive maintenance on range control facilities; and participates in the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs programs and assigned as Operations Division representative for all Base environmental issues.
