Young Diplomats Day is an ongoing program at the US Consulate in Yekaterinburg. Every one or two months, distinguished high-school or university students are invited to spend a day at the Consulate, familiarizing themselves with the work American diplomats do and taking part in a variety of activities, mirroring the Consulate staff duties. In addition to a tour of the Consulate, “young diplomats” meet with Consul General, learn about the visa process, discuss and present their own ideas on economic and cultural development in the area, and of course, practice their English skills!
If you are a teacher and would like for your students to take part in Young Diplomats Day, please send your contact information and information about your students to contestyekat@gmail.com
