Partnering For Impact - Promoting Dutch Entrepreneurship in Development
“Partnering for Impact: Promoting Dutch Entrepreneurship in Development” is a program funded by the U.S. Embassy, in collaboration with the Holland Program for Entrepreneurship (HOPE), and Business in Development (BiD) Network to link aspiring entrepreneurs and investors to create partnerships geared toward development.
The U.S. Embassy wants to introduce the United States as a potential partner for Dutch entrepreneurs in developing countries. This Program hopes to achieve the following two objectives:
- To introduce U.S. investment tools and funding opportunities for entrepreneurs interested in partnering in developing countries;
- To establish a long-term mentoring program and network where American business professionals can provide guidance, counseling and career support to local entrepreneurs doing or starting businesses in developing countries.
We plan to introduce the Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) to the Netherlands, and to a growing population of young entrepreneurs interested in development, along with tools like the Overseas Private Investment Cooperation (OPIC), the Enterprise Development Network (EDN) and E-Mentors Corps.
Starting January 2013, we will host monthly sessions
on development-related topics.
