Report Birth Abroad
Reporting the birth of a U.S. citizen abroad is available by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled in Marseille on the weekdays defined on our calendar by using the online appointment system, except on American and French holidays.
Please go to Appointment Online at the Consulate General of the United States Marseille, France to access the appointment online system and schedule your appointment.
Please remember that your child must be present at the time of application for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad.
The first U.S. passport may only be issued after the Consular Report of Birth has been filed.

Other Consular Offices in the South of France
Appointments to register the birth of your child and present a first passport application may also be made at Toulouse by e-mail at usatoulouse@state.gov and at the Consular Agency in Nice (04 93 88 89 55). Please contact these offices directly to make an appointment. Processing times will be slightly longer if applying from these offices.
