Students line up to look at the many books on display

The Public Affairs Section once again hit the road with their annual Road Show.  This year, the U.S. Embassy, Kathmandu Public Affairs Section is heading west.  For ten days from January 27 to February 5, the 25 member team is traveling 750 km (470 miles) to the western districts of Pyuthan, Rolpa and Dang. This educational program will showcase over 10,000 books that cover English language, American history, children's fiction, and popular American books translated into Nepali. The books on display during the Road Show will be donated to local colleges, schools and libraries.  On Tuesday, January 29, the “Road Show” attracted over 6,000 students and community members in Pyuthan alone.  The “Road Show” is being promoted through Embassy social media platforms.
