Chambers of Commerce Directors Discuss Highlights of U.S. Government Program

Directors of the Tunisian Chambers of Commerce and Industry met with U.S. Embassy officials to discuss their experiences as participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) entitled, “Chamber of Commerce Capacity Building”. This three-week Department of State-sponsored program is designed for participants to examine the best practices in chamber of commerce administration and capacity development at the local, state and national levels. The meeting provided an opportunity for the directors to discuss the program’s highlights and to explore potential areas of economic cooperation between Tunisian and American chambers of commerce that could boost commercial exchanges and trade operations.
