Visiting Scholar Talks about Cultural Heritage of the Silk Road at the Almaty American Corner

January 23 a Visiting Scholar at the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages (named after Abylai Khan) visited the American Corner in Almaty and gave a talk on the Cultural Heritage of the Silk Road. Adam Grode’s speech focused on the rich traditions of the Silk Road, and his experiences in Russia and Central Asia. After his talk he performaned on a Kazakh dombra and Kashgar rawap. Over 20 students and teachers attended the talk and afterword there was an informal question and answer session. The American Corner in Almaty hosts many unique programs each month.
