U.S. Embassy Consul Discusses the Visa Process via Live Webchat
February 6, 2013
On Monday, February 4, U.S. Embassy Consul Aleta Kovensky participated in a live, Q&A webchat in order to directly address the numerous questions people have about the visa process. Over the course of an hour, Ms. Kovensky dealt with a variety of inquiries, ranging from basic requirements to how Turkmens abroad should apply, and laid out the steps necessary to attain a visa. Questions were submitted both during the webchat and in advance on the Embassy’s mail.ru page (http://my.mail.ru/mail/usembassy-ashgabat/).
The webchat – the first of its kind hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat – gave Turkmen citizens the opportunity to engage one-on-one with an expert and learn more about the procedures for traveling to the United States. As always, additional information can be found at http://turkmenistan.usembassy.gov/visas.html.
For those who were unable to attend the webchat, the log has been posted below in both Turkmen and Russian for your convenience.
