The U.S.-Macedonia Trade Relations

Welcome!  The U.S. Embassy in Skopje is committed to economic and commercial partnership between the United States and Macedonia and looks forward to working with you.

My team and I seek to promote U.S. economic interests, to support and strengthen U.S.-Macedonia bilateral ties, and to promote opportunities for American businesses in Macedonia.  We are especially eager to assist U.S. companies seeking to export to Macedonia.  At the same time, the U.S. Agency for International Development is working to strengthen and grow the Macedonian economy, and to help it integrate into regional and global markets. This assistance is aimed at creating jobs, reducing corruption, and assisting students in Macedonia to prepare for the workforce.  These initiatives support Macedonia’s development into a more prosperous democracy and make Macedonia a better place to do business.

The National Export Initiative is a key component of our efforts, and I encourage U.S. exporters to visit the National Export Initiative website and the Department of Commerce's web site for U.S. exporters.  We also support investment in the U.S. economy, and investors seeking these opportunities should start at Invest in America®.

In this “Doing Business” section of the website, you will find useful information on Macedonia’s business climate, tips for doing business here, and a list of the many commercial services offered by the Embassy’s Economic-Commercial team.  I wish you great success in your business endeavors!
