To American Citizens in Bavaria

Last Minute Absentee Voting!  October 31 at the U.S. Consulate General Munich

Elections are coming up - do you need help voting?  Is your child’s passport about to expire, and you haven’t had time to make it to the Consulate?  Do you miss Halloween?  If so, please join us at the U.S. Consulate General in Munich on October 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  American citizens and their immediate family members are invited to attend this event.  Please bring your passport for entry.

  • Come help us celebrate Halloween!  We will have hotdogs and burgers for purchase, and candy for the kids.  And the kids can come in costume!
  • We will be accepting absentee ballots and over-nighting them to the U.S. to make sure they get there on time.  If you haven’t gotten your ballot or haven’t had a chance to register, we will have Federal Write-In Absentee Ballots on hand that can be used if you haven’t received your absentee ballot, and in some cases, if you haven’t yet registered.  The Federal Voting Assistance Program website has a great guide to check the regulations for your state: http://www.fvap.gov/resources/media/FWAB_VAG_state.pdf
  • In order to renew your or your child(ren)’s passport, you need to make an appointment by selecting October 31 at our online appointment site: https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=MUN&appcode=1

Please remember that because of security restrictions, you will not be able to bring electronics into the Consulate, so leave your cameras and cell phones at home or in the car.  For a detailed guide to what you can and can’t bring to the Consulate, please visit: http://germany.usembassy.gov/security_notice_for_consular_customers.pdf

Looking forward to seeing you there!
