FMWR is the Directorate of Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation.

What does FMWR do?

Today's FWMR mission is to honor Soldiers who protect our freedom by providing them and their families with the same quality of life given to the society they are pledged to defend. Keeping an Army ready to fight and win takes more than hard work and training. Soldiers need a balance of work and play.

FMWR provides our community members with fun and fabulous events to keep up morale during constant deployments. FMWR operates child care facilities; recreation facilities including bowling centers, fitness centers, libraries, arts & crafts studios and auto skills centers; Family support programs to enhance financial readiness, parenting and relationships; Special community events such as carnivals, fests and concerts; casual restaurants; and Army lodging.

FMWR programs and services enhance the well-being of the total Army Family stationed in Army garrisons around the world.
