The proposed project is for a road refurbishment. The road being refurbished is the main road running through multiple communities. It starts at the tarmac and finishes at the Basic school. Total running distance of the road is 18 Kilometers. The current road is only passable in the dry season. The money from this grant will help turn this road into a year round road large enough to support a large tractor trailer. The grant is only suppling the transport for the gravel. The communities will be clearing the road, digging it properly and the digging and laying of the gravel. This road refurbishment is just the first step of a large scope community based development project. Once this road is complete the next stages can commence. These are as follows; an improved school that will go from the current 1-7 grades and be turned into a 1-9 grade school, The building and staffing of a medical clinic, the current one being 17 Kilometers away by bush path. As well as an improved distribution system for local goods including; caterpillars, beans , ground nuts and maize.
