This project is to help fund a community in our county and its goals of improving the quality of service provided from the town library and the school. The objective of the project is to help the community finance its development plan. The town library is in need of new shelves and books, both educational and recreational. The school is in need of modern equipment for the teachers to use to instruct their students. The community had identified these needs previously and has been allocating what money they could find toward this goal.
The first project objective is to give the town library the shelves and space it needs to accommodate new and modern materials for the community as a whole to use. This includes updated books for children and teenagers, as well as modern educational materials for the adult community.
The second project objective is to give the school the technological assistance it needs to prepare its students for the future. This includes giving them access to and practice using technology as a means of instruction and learning. As well as giving the teachers the ability to diversify their instructional approaches through the use of technology.
The third project objective is to train the Romanian counterparts in project management and implementation. This will allow them to take advantage of funds already identified within the EU for future grants.
