Map of MACEDONIA

I am currently living in a Macedonian village. Unfortunately, while the teachers are working to raise the quality of education in the village schools, many of the schools in Macedonia have been left for years in disrepair due to limited funding. Since I have come to the village the community has volunteered its time and money in the hopes of restoring the school. The project and goal of my school is to repair the damaged walls and ceilings of the primary school of my village, along with three schools in neighboring villages. This will keep the classrooms warm and dry through the winter for 4 Macedonia schools that provide classes for 321 students from first to ninth grade.

These primary schools continue to make small-scale renovations and maintenance; however the schools are in need of more major repairs. The community has raised a fourth of the money needed for these repairs. The parents and local residents have also come forward to offer most of the labor needed for these repairs. My goal is to raise the additional funds needed for the construction materials for this project.
