Photographer 2

PURPOSE: To perform and administer laboratory operations supporting forensic latent print photography and photography processing in accordance with established practices and procedures.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Assist Latent Print Photographer in image processing.

 

  • Process images using advanced imaging software.

 

  • Prepare detailed notes of work.

 

  • Preserve images on non-rewritable media.

 

OTHER JOB DUTIES: 

  • Other duties as needed by Latent Print Photographers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (two years work experience equivalent to one year post-secondary education) and one to two years job related experience required. Prefer one year experience working with photography or digital imaging enhancement. Must have thorough knowledge and ability to apply broad laboratory processing principles, both custom or automated, in standard and modified techniques to produce high quality finished products which meet individual photographic requirements. Concepts must include black and white and color processing and printing and film processing to include microfilm and microfiche. Knowledge and use of digital media is also required, to include experience using Adobe Photoshop. Must have effective communication skills in both oral and written products. Must have an active or reinstateable Top Secret security clearance.
